My father, also Daryl Runswick (1916-92) was a keen amateur
musician and composer, and was my main influence in becoming a musician.
It is he who made more than 100 pieces (compositions and
arrangements)
for recorder consorts and orchestras of all sizes,
often including great bass
and contrabass parts.
